Amanda Woods RDH OMT

Hello, I am Amanda Woods. I am an Oral Myofunctional Therapist. I have enjoyed over twenty years in the dental with a degree in the field of Dental Hygiene and four years as a practicing Oral Myofunctional Therapist.

My patients have been my motivating force to understand more about the WHY to their health-dental concerns.  I am proud I am able to provide a solution for many who suffer with airway issues, tongue thrust swallow patterns, Temporal-mandibular joint dysfunction, orthodontic relapse, nasal obstruction, snoring, sleep apnea, tongue-tie, and anyone seeking a healthier roadmap to overall wellness.

I enjoy being a participating member of the Airway Circle Study Club, AAPMD Ambassador, Buteyko Breathing Center, and a TBI Ambassador.  I have seen tremendous growth in this field in the past four years. I enjoy attending weekly CE Course, study clubs, and continue to participate in ongoing research in this field. My goal is to include an extensive multidisciplinary trained group of providers such as Physical Therapist, Myofascial Release Providers, Osteopaths, Oral Surgeons, Orthodontists, Dental Professionals, Pediatric Providers, SLP's, OT, Nutritionist, Sleep Apnea Physicians and ENTs in my own hometown. I want to help my clients by incorporating these varied providers if needed. This approach often leads to complete resolution of the many dysfunctions that have led to compensation patterns that have affected the, TMJ, head, neck, back, hips, ears, sinuses, throat, and improvement of many other health concerns.

I am passionate about helping others transform their lives through better lifestyle choices that can optimize life quality, decrease the possibilities of diseases that, if not addressed early can shorten life spans. The quality of Oxygen we take into our body every day can transform your life too. I am excited to be a "tongue therapist", in this emerging field. I would love the opportunity to help guide you in your journey through this life changing process of Oral Myofunctional Therapy.

The focus of this therapy includes exercises and neurological repatterning of dysfunctional oral muscle patterns this results in improved breathing, proper swallowing, and correct oral posture.  I encourage you to call to discuss your concerns with a free 30-minute evaluation.
