Be MYO Well

Amanda Woods RDH OMT
Hello, I’m Amanda Woods, an Oral Myofunctional Therapist dedicated to helping people breathe better, feel better, and improve their overall health. I have spent over 20 years in the dental field as a Registered Dental Hygienist and the past four years specializing in Oral Myofunctional Therapy.
My patients have always inspired me to look deeper into the why behind their dental and health concerns. Today, I’m grateful to offer solutions for individuals experiencing airway and breathing issues, tongue thrust swallowing patterns, temporomandibular joint dysfunction, orthodontic relapse, nasal obstruction, snoring, sleep apnea, tongue-tie restrictions, and for anyone seeking a healthier path to overall wellness.
I am an active member of the Airway Circle Study Club, an ambassador for the American Academy of Physiological Medicine and Dentistry, the Buteyko Breathing Center, and MYO Munchee Provider. This field is growing rapidly, and I stay current through weekly continuing education, study clubs, and ongoing research to provide the best care possible.
My goal is to build a strong, multidisciplinary network of providers right here in our community — including physical therapists, myofascial release providers, osteopaths, oral surgeons, orthodontists, dental professionals, pediatric providers, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, nutritionists, sleep physicians, and ENTs. When needed, this collaborative approach helps address the root causes of dysfunction and often leads to lasting relief from issues affecting the jaw, head, neck, back, hips, ears, sinuses, throat, and overall health.
I am passionate about helping people improve their quality of life through better breathing, healthier muscle function, and supportive lifestyle choices. The way we breathe and the quality of oxygen we take in every day can truly transform our health and longevity.
Oral Myofunctional Therapy focuses on gentle exercises and neuromuscular retraining to correct dysfunctional oral muscle patterns. This leads to improved breathing, proper swallowing, and healthy oral posture.
I am excited to guide you through this life-changing process and support you every step of the way.
I invite you to schedule a complimentary 30-minute consultation to discuss your concerns and learn how this therapy may help you.
